Obituary of Charles Perin
Charles Leroy Perin, “Bill” as he was known to everyone of Eugene, died October 2nd of complications related to old age. He was 97. Bill was born January 2, 1917 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska to Leota and Charles Perin. As a child he lived in Cheyenne, WY, Hamilton MT, Newport, OR and Warren, OR where he attended Elementary school. He attended High School in Kalama, WA. He met Blanche Welsheimer in Kalama WA while working in an Ice Cream shop. They were married on October 5, 1940 in Kelso WA. He and Blanche “Bea” spent many years in Coburg, OR while Bill worked in Cottage Grove at a Shingle Mill. Bill spent his final years at Garden Way Retirement Center in Eugene. Bill is survived by his only child Larry Perin of Salem, 3 grandsons, Dennis Perin of Eugene, Rick Perin of Salem, and Lee Perin of Stayton who is presently in Afghanistan serving in the Military. Bill has 6 Great Grandchildren and one Great, Great Grandson. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 p.m. at Garden Way Church. Bill has been a part of this church for 30 years. God is graciously allowing all who knew him to say goodbye in a place that meant so much to him. Arrangements are entrusted to Chapel of Memories.
