I had the privilege of working with Ed on the Volunteer Board and as as one of the CCTC volunteers at LHSC Victoria Campus until his retirement and have very fond memories of a caring man who enjoyed life and his Volunteer mission. In the last two years I ran into Ed a few times at the Long Term Care Home when he visited Doreen and enjoyed a quick chat with him, always amused by the twinkle in his eyes when he admitted not to remember my name but definitely my face. My sincere sympathies to the family, the memories of a good man will support you in time to come.

Ed has been a good and dear friend of mine since I came to Trinity Lutheran here in London in 2009. He was the one that walked with me through the church entrance and introduced me to everybody. He also was the one who took me to my first Men's Club meeting on a Saturday and we often sat next to each other and listened to the invited speaker. We became very good friends over the years and I enjoyed him sitting to my left while we sang our praises to the Lord. I liked his wit and his warm and always friendly smile. He and Doreen having moved into the Inspirit Senior Residences, we became like street neighbours and picked each other up for choir practice and other occasions. He literally sang his heart out to the Lord for as long as he was able. Yes, as it says in Ecclesiastes: There is a season for everything! I feel so blessed and so lucky that Ed and I were able to share some of them, good and bad, joyful and sad. I'll often think of him. He is missed by me and many others! My sincere sympathies to the whole family and all his friends.
