Obituary of David 'Dave' Craven

It is with incredible sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Craven, on Friday, June 5, 2020, in London, at the age of 56. He was born in Chatham, Ontario, beloved son of Charles and Jean Craven. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Nicole; his cherished daughters, Laura and Rebecca; his sons, Garrett (Marisa) and Geordie; as well as two grandchildren, Noah and Tessa. He is survived by his twin sisters Sharron Pizzuto (Michael) and Sheila Zuk (Robert). Dave was the loving uncle to eight nephews and nieces: Katerina Di Lena (Richard), Giulia Pizzuto, Matthew Pizzuto, Robbie Zuk, Reid Zuk, Adam Zuk, Katie Vince, and Heather Vince. Dave was a long-standing and valued employee of Union Gas, now Enbridge Gas. He served in multiple senior leadership positions over his 35-year tenure, most recently as Director of Customer Care Development. He was President of the Board of Directors of the London Chamber of Commerce from 2013-2014 and was on the board for over nine years. Dave was also very active in the community in London and Chatham. He was the consummate professional and cared deeply for the people he worked with. A great role model and mentor, he was someone you could always count on. Dave will be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends, his strong work ethic, leadership, and witty sense of humour. Family was the focal point of his life and he wove that same caring and supportive approach to everything that he did. He had a gift for making every person in his life feel valued and heard. He always met his goals, whether it be walking one thousand miles a year or checking off his weekend lists. He was the life of the party and he will be missed by all. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London.
