Linda Rose

Obituary of Linda Ann Rose

Mrs. Linda Ann Rose lived for her family and friends. Linda passed away on July 27, 2013 in her home at the age of 62. Linda was born on April 1, 1951 to Elinor J. Musser and the late Melvin E. Musser. Linda was raised in Rockville, Maryland by her parents with her siblings Marian Louise Laing, Paul Weyandt Musser, and William Steven Musser. Linda excelled in high school in academics and in sports earning high accolades in both areas. She entered Columbia Union College (CUC) on a music scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude from CUC's (now Washington Adventist University) nursing program. Linda married Richard Evans Rose on August 15, 1976. Linda and Richard resided in Bethesda, Maryland where they raised their three daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Rose, Susan Virginia Rose, and Karen Michelle Rose. Much family time was spent going on different adventures and exploring local places of interest. These adventures often started out in a spontaneous manner always ending in a good time. As a Registered Nurse, Linda worked for NIH, the University of Maryland infirmary, the Ring House, and various sleep away camps so that she could spend more time with her daughters. One of Linda's favorite forms of expression was music. She played the flute in high school and in college. Her daughters fondly remember songs she taught them when they were children and which she later sang to her two grandchildren. She had an ability and desire to connect with others and bring people together. In spite of health challenges in recent years, Linda enjoyed attending church, singing hymns to her mother, and spending time with her family and friends. Linda was an active long-time member of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, Maryland. Her faith provided her a great deal of comfort and peace. While she will be greatly missed, her spirit lives on through her family.
