Obituary of Evan Thomas Simpson

Born in 1919 and died peacefully, at the age of 100, with his daughter present on Monday, May 4, 2020, at Parkwood Institute Veterans Care, where he resided since August 2019. Evan was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 2014. He is survived by daughter, Carole (son-in-law Malcolm), Grandson Nigel, Partner Alison and great-grandchildren Charley and Declan. Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated once Catholic churches re-open. Those wishing to make a donation in Evan’s name are encouraged to consider a gift to the Parkwood Institute Veterans Care Program (St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation). Both Evan and his family were very thankful for the caring staff at Parkwood (Western Counties Wing) – they made such a difference. Evan’s was a long life; one that was happy and well-lived.
