Obituary of Robert Murray Smith

Peacefully on Thursday, April 21st, 2011 at University Hospital, Mr. Robert Murray “Bob” Smith, of London (formerly of Leith, Ontario) in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Mrs. Marian (MacLeod) Smith (predeceased) and Florence “Flo” Murray. Loving father of Ann Goldenberg (Jeff), Lyn Turnbull (Duncan), Gordon Smith (Julie) and Julia Smith (Craig). Dear brother of Elizabeth Smith of London. Also loved by his seven grandchildren: David, Mark, Laura, Sean (Tasha), Sandy, Matt and Becky and two great-grandchildren: Sarah and Abbey. Bob was a WWII Veteran and a banker for forty years with CIBC. He had many strong passions, the greatest of which were travel and geography. A memorial service will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Trans Canada Trail or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
