Obituary of Klemens Libal

Klemens Libal is now living with his Redeemer and Saviour, having passed away peacefully at St Mary’s, Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, London, on Thursday, April 23, 2020, in his 100th year. Born March 29th,1921, he spent many blessed years under his Lord’s guidance with his dear wife, Hilda, living on three continents. Their daughter, Maree, was born in Melbourne after they emigrated from Germany to Australia. After six wonderful years in Australia, they moved to Canada, which Klemens proudly declared to be the best country in the world. He enjoyed a long and rewarding career with CN Railway and spent the many happy years of his retirement playing chess, golfing, being active in his church and always helping others. Devoted husband to Hilda, his Herzele for 71 years. Loving father to Maree and son-in-law, Ian. Loving and proud grandfather to Jonathan and Matthew. Caring brother-in-law to Opal and caring uncle to Kornel (Brigitte), Edith, Brigitte, Cornelius (Rose), Helen (Dave), Andrew (Martina), Doris (Victor) and their families. In lieu of flowers, donations in Klemens’ memory can be made to St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation in support of Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, where he received such excellent care, or to North Park Community Church Refugee Sponsorship Fund, a cause dear to his heart. A Celebration of Klemens’ Life will be arranged at a later date.
