Obituary of Gloria (née Brown) East

Passed peacefully in her sleep, at Victoria Hospital, on Thursday, April 16, 2020, Gloria East, of London, at the age of 91. Born on November 9, 1928, in Jamaica. Predeceased by husband, Edmond (Dicky) East. Survived by her five children: Arthur (late Barbara), Steve (Jo-Ann), Jeff, Glo (Al), Nick (Joanne); eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Gloria enjoyed reading, painting, music, and cooking for family and friends. You never went to her home without being offered a meal and often had leftovers to take away. Coming from a large family, Mom was happiest hosting gatherings at the house on Tavistock Road. A private burial at Woodland Cemetery has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a charitable donation in memory of Gloria are asked to consider the Canadian Mental Health Association - Middlesex.
