Sending our sincere condolences to Irene's family. This beautiful woman of God was an inspiration to all of us. Her delightful sense of humour was matched with her indomitable will. Above all, Irene adored and trusted her Saviour. We bless her memory.

Brian and Bruce May God hold all off the Assaf family in his hands and grant you peace and comfort in this time of sorrow. Aunt Irene was very special indeed. You were truly blessed. Now, as the Angels carry her to her Heavenly home, she can join Uncle Edward, Shirley and Wayne. With much love, Valerie, Elayne and Michael Dabous

Dear family, I knew Irene from the senior's group. At our outings to the restaurant, I remember how we always bragged to the staffabout how young she looked for her age. She never hesitated to witness and give God the glory. What a beautiful woman of God she was, (inside and out). She has been such a blessing to the Body of Christ, her family and all who crossed her path. May the Lord our Comforter, be with you at this

Bruce & Family...My condolences to you in the loss of your mother. I remember her as such a lovely Christian lady. She was very classy, and she made the most amazing "Keveling" cookies! She was a good friend to my Mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. God bless you.

Dear Bruce, Jack, amazing daughters and Assaf family. Its' been many decades now that our entire family have been blessed to part of Irene's life and have her and you in our lives. Irene really set the stage for how we should live, love, pray and be joyful in the Lord, it is hard no impossible to ever not have her with us and I guess that is our hope that we will all be together someday. In the meantime, we don't mourn as people who no hope because we know that to live is Messiah and to die is Messiah (Christ). We wish you God's strength, comfort and peace during this time and we're very much looking forward to helping the Lord build Irene's second Mansion in Heaven because if anyone desires a double-blessing it is Irene. Shalom

Bruce and Jackie. Dear beautiful sweet Irene has gone to be with Jesus. How utterly wonderful. Didn't he give her more years than she probably ever dreamed of. 100 Wow!. I have thought of her over the years many times and wonder if she was still alive. I must admit I thought not and wished I had of know, I would have visited her. She was one of those lovely ladies you remember always. I thought about coming to Westview today, with it having been so long since I had seen you two and perhaps others from Glad Tidings, I just thought it would be hard to resist hugging so I decided to write you instead. I would have loved to have seen you two and chatted and seen your girls all grown up. Well God bless you all. Perhaps we will have to wait for heaven before we see one another but, do email me if you have a chance. Love to you all Jan and Wayne.

I'll start this by saying I've had a week w/ some emotional highs & lows• We weren't expecting the passing of a beautiful sister in the Lord---a loving motherly mentor---a great friend---a beautiful Woman of God... Irene Assaf• In the ebb & flow of life things can be surprizingly beautiful at one end of the spectrum & at the other end a saddened, tearful event• Tears of happiness because a loved one has gone to be w/ Jesus & tears of pain as we can't embrace & share in prayer anymore• It is w/ great sadness yet w/great joy that we say goodbye to an extraordinary beautiful W.o.G. who battled the enemy w/courage until the very end• Over the years Irene has dealt w/ many issues in life & always found a way to keep fighting & show love & support to all of us• She loved to be informed on what everyone was doing & always encouraged each of us as we took the time to pray for one another & read God's Word. We felt loved & valued because of her tendrrness• I will love & miss her as much as anyone else will, & will miss our times together. I feel so very honored to have been one of the Grannies to have shared so much w/Irene• It's always hard to say goodbye, but she lived a full life & all the Grannies appreciate everything she did• We love you & look forward to spending eternity w/you Irene .... Her Celebration of Life was truly lovely. Thank you to her blood family for sharing her w/the family of God. Love, hugs & prayers to Bruce Jacquie & beautiful daughtwrs....her daughtwr & family and her other son I never hsd the honor to meet Geri Fletcher London ON

Very saddened to just learn that Aunt Irene has passed. She was always my favourite aunt. I have so many fond memories of both her and Uncle Ed. Aunt Irene was there to help me through more than one difficult time and one of my great regrets is that I never let her know how much she meant to me. Although it has been too many years since I last saw Aunt Irene, in my mind's eye I have often recalled many wonderful moments spent with her and the family. Love...Mark
