Shirley was/is a very wonderful lady and our family was blessed to know her. My heart is hurting for your family at this difficult time and my prayers are with you. I would have loved to be there for the funeral, but I will be attending my Great Aunt's funeral the same day. There are many people who are now "graduating" to the other side. A glorious reunion awaits there. There will be many people to welcome Shirley with open arms. Hugs and love to you!

I cared for Shirley while I worked at Westmount. She and I became very close. Shirley was a wonderfully loving woman with a great spirit and funny stories. She talked about her life and her family with such pride. I will never forget her. My sincerest sympathy to her very supportive son and family.

I am with mixed feelings today. I rejoice that Shirley has gone to be with her Lord. Sad that she is with us no longer. We will miss her but she is no longer suffering and is now with Ralph and the rest of her family. We worked together many, many years ago and continued our friendship when our working time ended. We had such fun creating Advent Calendars during lunch hours--mine was hung again this Advent season. We would pick strawberries every summer. We went tobogganing during our lunch hour. And when my son was born on Ralph's birthday, she said - I told you so!! And when I was sick, she was there for me, praying and helping me to recover. We laughed about lots of things. She will be missed.

I was sad when I heard of Sister Coles passing. Growing up she was a big part of my life. I remember, once when we were having a party, she let us play spin the bottle. I know it was a bit weird but I always thought she was the coolest woman ever. As kids we spent a lot of Monday nights at the Coles having Family Home Evening. That’s right, she treated us as part of the family. One time at church, she walked passed me in the hall. She tripped and fell. Without skipping a beat she looked at me and saidâ€Sam, why did you trip me?†Rob Cole was nearby and heard her. He was ready to take me out. (Not in a date sort of way but in a Mafia way) My condolences to the Cole Family. I have a special love for your mom. She will be missed.
