With sorrow, we announce the passing on March 23rd, 2011 of the much loved and respected Marnie Collins (nee Wilson) in her 88th year. She will be dearly and sadly missed by her children, Karen Courtney, Deborah and William Kleiber, and by her loving sister Ilene Thomas and brother-in-law William. The time spent with her grandchildren Morgan and Erin Kleiber, Ryan, Brie, and Sean Courtney, will be cherished by them always. She will also be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Paula LaPorte, Linda Andrews, Paul and Greg Wilson, and Scott Thomas. Marnie was predeceased by her loving husband Robert John Collins, sister Helen Wilson, and brothers Bruce and Ted Wilson. She greatly enjoyed the friendships she acquired while working at the University of Western Ontario in the office of the Dean of Arts, her travels with her husband, and the company of her family. Marnie will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Her family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her friends at Longworth Retirement Village for their thoughtful cards and the good wishes during her illness. At Marnie’s request, cremation has taken place and a service will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, March 26th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. As an expression of sympathy, those wishing to make a donation are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of their choice.
