Obituary of Peggy Reed

Peggy Carol Reed passed peacefully on November 19, 2014. She was born in Portland, Oregon on September 28, 1929 to Barkley and Velma Holbrook.Peggy graduated from Chico High School in 1947 and then later moved with her parents to Anchorage, Alaska via the Al-Can highway.Peggy married George W. Reed, Jr. on December 7th, 1950 after knowing each other for just seven weeks. They were married for 58 years until his passing on November 18, 2009. They enjoyed many years being affiliated with several Masonic organizations (Masons, Eastern Star and the Shriners). Then in the later years, they were fortunate to spend many winters being Snowbirds in Tuscan, Arizona.Peggy was preceded in death by her only son Barkley (Buddy) Reed in May 2010. She is survived by her three daughters and son in laws: Linda and Terry Bender of Orangevale, California; Velma and Bob Bails, Renelda and Del Danielson of Springfield, Oregon; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00A Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Resurrection Community Church, 6155 Thurston Road, Springfield, Oregon. Graveside services will follow at Springfield Memorial Garden Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
