Obituary of Robert Riegelmann

Robert Charles Riegelmann of Eugene, Oregon passed away on November 16, 2014 at the age of 95. He was born on September 30, 1919 in Portland, Oregon to Robert A. and Hulda Riegelmann. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon, class of 1939. He served in the Pacific Theater in the U.S. Army during World War II. Robert married Lucille Mae Barrows on April 19, 1947 in Coburg, Oregon. She preceded him in death on March 26, 1999.He worked for the shipyards in Portland. Then he worked for Union Oil. He owned and operated his own Heating Oil Company in Yakima, Washington. Robert and Lucille relocated to Eugene, where they owned and operated American Barricade, a traffic control equipment rental and sales company. Robert spent the last 53 years in Lane County. He loved running the family business and golfing. Robert was a Mason, Scottish Rite and Shriner, and a member of the Shadow Hills Country Club.Robert is survived by his son, Robert Andrew Riegelmann of Philomath, Oregon, and his brother, Neil Riegelmann of Portland, Oregon.Robert will be laid to rest at Alford Cemetery following the funeral service at Musgrove Family Center in Eugene, Oregon at 11:00A, Saturday, November 22, 2014.
