Obituary of Rosemary Edwards

Rosemary Patricia Edwards passed away peacefully on November 18, 2014 as a result of complications from Alzheimer's Disease. She was born April 3, 1928 in Marion, South Dakota to John and Helen (Splonskowski) Renk.Rosemary moved to Eugene, OR in 1943 with her parents and younger sister, Joan. She graduated from Eugene High School in 1946. She married Don Wilson in 1947 and together they had 3 children, Lannie, Renee and Dana. They later divorced.In 1963, Rosemary went to work for EWEB as secretary to the general manager. She loved her job. She met many people during that time that became lifelong friends. She retired in 1988 as a division director.Rosemary married Lowell Edwards in 1970. She and Lowell loved to entertain friends and family, play pinochle, dance and travel. Lowell preceded her in death in 1998. Rosemary also enjoyed: going to garage sales, all kinds of crafts and collecting angels.Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Renee Carley and son-in-law Chris Carley of Eugene, OR and her son, Dana Wilson of Mt. Vernon, WA. Also, a grandson, Skyler Wilson of Mt. Vernon, WA and many nieces and nephews. Her son, Lannie, died in Vietnam in 1968. Her sister, Joan Schaeffer died in 2010.A service will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Musgrove Family Center, 1152 Olive St., Eugene, OR., Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens following service.Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or Greenhill Humane Society.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
