Obituary of Alma Elizabeth Thursby

THURSBY, Alma Elizabeth – Peacefully on Friday, March 11th, 2011 at LHSC – Victoria Campus, Alma Elizabeth Thursby passed away in her 87th year. Loving wife of Edward (1982) and dearest mother of Darlene Siegfried (Bill), Maryanne MacDonald (Will), Carol Nuyten, Sue Thursby, Sandy Channer (Blaine) and Robert Thursby (Julie). Proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Alma is also survived by her sister Ruth Dietiert and her brother Len Pederson (Erma). Predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters and by 3 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 16th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Alma are asked to consider the L.H.S.F. Regional Cancer Centre. The family wish to thank nurses and staff of the 7th Floor D Wing at London Health Sciences Centre for their kindness, compassion and care.
