Obituary of Evelyn MacDonald Thody (nee McBain)

Peacefully and surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 at McGarrell Place in her 88th year. Beloved wife for 52 years of the late Basil (1995). Loving mother of John (Mary Gore), Linda, Susan, Barbara Walters (Ian Judge), Stephen and the late Judy (1999). Proud grandma of Christopher, Kelly, Adam, Caitlin Watson, David Walters, Daniel Walters, Samantha Newman-Thody and great-grandma of Dean, Tatum and Rowan. Evelyn was born in Windsor to Ronald and Maude McBain (nee Nicholson). She was a long time member of First Baptist Church and Choir and was an RNA at St. Joseph’s Hospital for more than 20 years. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of McGarrell Place. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 12th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
