Obituary of Lillian Villwock

Lillian Villwock of Eugene, Oregon passed away on December 6, 2014 of age related causes at the age of 90 years.She was born on September 25, 1924 in New York City, New York. Her father, Harry Steinfeld immigrated to New York City from Hungary. He worked to bring his siblings, parents and fiancée Rose to be with him. She admitted that she was spoiled by all.Lillian graduated from High School and attended some college.She worked as a Secretary / Personnel for the IRS and Corp of Engineers.She married Fred W. Villwock Jr on February 11, 1951 in Anchorage, Alaska after knowing him for 3 weeks. The marriage lasted 58 years until his passing on January 19, 2009.Lillian is survived by her daughters, Katherine McCoy (Ken) and Constance Shannon (John) of Eugene, Oregon and Linda Miller of Severn, Maryland, also, two step-daughters, Diane Harm (Martin) of Dayton, Ohio and Kemlyn Perry of W Alexandria, Ohio. Ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband and a step daughter, April Morse and grandson, Scott McCoy.Lillian was an avid traveler starting after WWII in which she worked as a Secretary at the Nuremberg War Trials. She and Fred travelled to Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand and explored the US in an RV. She taught herself to sew and cook, she won several national recipe cook offs and wrote her own cookbook which was published. She also taught herself how to use a computer and she became quite active in politics.A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Burial Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.Lillian will be buried with her husband at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Hospice and Disabled American Veterans. (DAV).We wish to thank her caregivers at Quail Park Memory Care and Sacred Heart Hospice.
