Obituary of H. James Chadek

H. James Chadek of Eugene died December 20, 2014 of age related causes. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eugene.Chadek was born October 22, 1922 in Iowa City, IA to George and Clara Chadek. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Iowa Cityand in 1942 moved to Seattle, WA. In 1946 he moved to Eugene where he established Chadek Concrete Construction Co. that he operateduntil his retirement in 1983.He had a wonderful and full life with family and friends that loved him dearly. Jim was a generous, friendly and kind man that all will miss. Hewas preceded in death by his wife Ruth, who died August 31, 2003.Survivors include two sons; Joe Chadek of Creswell, OR and William ( Sharon ) Chadek of Bellevue, WA; a brother, Steve Chadek ( Gloria ) of WallaWalla, WA; four grandchildren; Lori (Chris) Roberts, Scott Chadek, Rob (Nicol) Chadek, and Brad (Sasha) Chadek and five great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.At Jim’s request, no service is planned.
