Obituary of Helio Santo Marcaccio

MARCACCIO, Helio Santo – It is with Great Sadness that we announce the passing of “Mac” Marcaccio. Mac passed away peacefully on February 4, 2011 at University Hospital in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Lillian (nee Marziali), father of James and Larry, grandfather of Scott, Lindsay, Curtis and Seth, and father-in-law of Mary Beth, Diane , and the late Joanne. Dear brother of Josephine Ripa and Elsie Pietz both of Fort Erie, Lena Davidson of Crystal Beach. Mac is predeceased by his brother Harry. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mac spent most of his life in St. Mary’s and moved to London in 1998. Mac worked at the Canadian National Railway his entire working life and enjoyed a long retirement. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-9pm at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, with prayers on Monday evening at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, on Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 at St. George Roman Catholic Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mac are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex.
