Obituary of Susan Nelson

A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on January 3rd 2015 at the Junction City Grange for Susan Nelson. She passed away on December 21, 2014 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Sue was born July 12, 1946 to Ethel and Layton Vanfossen in Oak Creek Co. She lived for many years in the Junction City/ Eugene area. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Nelson, brother Dale Vanfossen and granddaughters Halle and Ashlynn Best. She is survived by her sister Anne Unrein, her brother Darrell Vanfossen and her children Kim Dickinson, Michelle Hoerauf (Ned), Darrell Nelson and Rebecca Best (Pat), David Nelson (Cathy), Mike Nelson and her Grandchildren Kalia and Logan Best, Cole Nelson, Daniel and Rebecca Dickinson, Christopher Nelson, Rachelle Nelson-Liberato and 3 great grandchildren.Sue was a great spirit. She could strike up conversation with any stranger. She spent years working in the bowling center and considered her friends that she made there her second family. More recently she took on the task of caring for her grandchildren and considered it the best "job" in the world. She loved to read and watch movies with friends. She will be dearly missed by many who enjoyed her crazy sense of humor.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
