Obituary of Betty McCumber

McCUMBER, Betty – Peacefully with her whole family by her side at Victoria Hospital, on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011, Betty (nee Grant) McCumber of London in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Elmer “Mac” McCumber. Loving and cherished mother of Ann (Craig) Helsdon and Grant (Wendy) McCumber all of London. Also loved by her grandchildren Chris, Chad, Mark, Mike, Jim and Amanda. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Betty taught French for over 30 years. She began her teaching career in Arthur then moved to London and taught at Clarke Road, Wheable and Lucas Secondary Schools. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24th, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Oakridge Presbyterian Church, 970 Oxford Street West, where the funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Betty are asked to consider the MS Society-London/Middlesex Chapter or the Oakridge Presbyterian Church.
