Obituary of Peter Liabotis
LIABOTIS, Panagiote (Peter) – Born in Psili Vrisi, Greece on April 29, 1937 passed away peacefully on January 15, 2011 in his 74th year in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved brother of Sophia and husband Evaggelos Aggelopoulos, Dimitri and wife Penelope Liambotis, Katerina and husband George Moulopoulos, Konstantina and late husband Antonios Skrettas. Predeceased by beloved father and mother Ioannis and Dimitro Liabotis and brothers Sotirios and Elias Liabotis. Cherished uncle to Vickie and Andy Soursos, John and Sophie Liambotis, Alexandra and Mario Keriakedes, Toula and Peter Klementzos, Angelo and Cara Liambotis, Litsa and Andy Lerikos, Maria and George Quintela, Toula and Damon Papadopoulos. Blessed great uncle to his 15 “louloudakia” Katerina, Christos, Dimitri, Peter, Alex, Angeline, Peter, (Godson), Julia, Angelina, Dimitra, Sotiri, Christopher, Katerina, Alexander and Zoe. His nurturing spirit, strong will and his devotion to his entire family will be forever held close to their hearts. He has left us a legacy of compassion, wisdom, humour, but above all else, unconditional love. Fondly remembered by all his extended family and friends. May his memory be eternal. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers being held in the chapel at 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Road West, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Peter are asked to consider the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or the London Health Sciences Foundation-Cancer Centre.
