Nancy: Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother. Thinking of her this morning brought back memories of your parents visits with my grandparents in Byron, sometimes with Max and Clara and you in tow. The tiny living room would be jammed with people all talking a mile a minute while enjoying a few liquid refreshments. Happy times for all. Shirley was a lovely lady with the gift of the gab, a big smile and a hearty laugh. She will always be fondly remembered.

Dear Nancy, John and Ainsley I am sorry I can't be there with you today but you are all so in my thoughts. T his lady meant the world to me. I just loved her to pieces. A great loss to you. A wonderful mom and grandmother and mom-in- law. SO lucky to have had her in my life too for so many years. A wonderful aunt. My favourite. Be strong and believe that she is in a better p lace . All better now. I will miss her great laugh so much too. I will miss her terribly. My aunt, my friend. Anything I can do for you please let me know. Love Doreen

Nancy your Mom was like an angel that lived on earth with us! Shirley was always there for everyone and would always invite you in for a tea and a chat. She cared about others more then herself. You were her treasure and Ainsley was the gem in her crown. Being able to babysit her made her so happy. To have Ainsley at home with her like she did with you. Let her relive your childhood which brought her so much happiness. She would take her to visit when she went out in the neighborhood(Dufferin Ave) Your mom was like another mom to me and treated us more like sisters then friends. She always included me be it to go to GrandMa Campbell's or Clara and Max's. Remember the nights on Belfield at the Johnson's. Yes your Mom was always laughing and living life to the fullest. Your Mom kept in touch with Grace Baker and that gave Grace an insight on the neighborhood even when she was too ill to go out. No words can be said to soften the pain you must be feeling. Mine has been gone 11years and I wish I could tell you it gets easier. But the memories stay forever enjoy them. My best to John who Shirley thought of as her son and the Furlonger family joined the Davis's into theirs family. Ainsley always be proud of your grandmother she was an unbelievable person. I am sure you have great memories of her enjoy them.

Nancy, John and Ainsley - We were surprised and very sad to hear of Aunt Shirley's passing. This should not be a time of great sadness but of a time of remembering the happiness, love and joy she has broght to those who knew and loved her. A time to think of a life lived well through what were on occasion difficult times. Alao remember that she has now joined Uncle Jim and the two of them will be watching over all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you right now.

I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection.
