Obituary of Theodora Mastorakos

MASTORAKOS, Theodora – Peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family on December 11, 2010. A quiet and gentle soul who loved to be surrounded by family and friends. A loving mother who inspired all of us with her kindness, her humility and perseverance. She will always be remembered for her ability to derive true joy from life’s simple gifts, but most importantly for her unwavering faith. Theodora was the beloved wife of the late George Mastorakos (1983) and loving mother to Theo and his wife Maria, and Peter and his wife Peggy. Cherished grandmother to Dylan and Collin. Dear sister to Athanasia Papadakis (John) of Greece, and sister in law to Bill Staikos and Demetra Koukoulas (Greece). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Demetre Koukoulas (Greece) and by her sister Anastasia Staikos. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the caregivers at Mount Hope who provided our mother with ongoing care and thoughtful support. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers being held at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 133 Southdale Road West, on Wednesday, December 15th, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Interment, Woodland Cemetery.
