I am very sorry to learn of Jan's death. He was a part of our family for many years and I have good memories of him. He was especially fond of my husband George and I attribute that to both of them having immigrated from Holland to Canada. Jan was a lover of dogs and treated them like people. He was kind and gentle to them and they loved him for it. I could see that Jan was becoming very tired as he had a long struggle for each breath. I like to think that he is now at rest and reunited with all those he loved both the people and his pets. Rest in peace Jan. Wendy Carver Van Vliet
