Obituary of Shirley Bona (Bonnie) Dawkins

DAWKINS, Shirley Bona (Bonnie) – We say good-bye to our mother, grandmother and friend… In her usual fiesty and spunky manner, Shirley Bona “Bonnie” Dawkins passed away on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010 at St. Andrew’s Terrace in Cambridge after battling Alzheimer’s Disease. She has been reunited with her daughter Jan, but leaves behind her sons Paul, Tim and his wife Cheryl and grandchildren Paloma, Matthew and Jessica. Bonnie was also blessed to have special friends Janet and Ruby. Predeceased by her siblings Jean Hartwick, Margaret Beer and Jack Richardson. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation a half hour prior to the service. Alzheimer’s is a disease that has yet to be conquered. As an expression of sympathy, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of London.
