Obituary of Terry Garrow

Terry Alan Garrow passed away on February 14, 2015. He was born on February 3, 1950 to Edward and Pollyann (Harter) Garrow in Aberdeen, WA and graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1968. He then attended Gray's Harbor College, Washington Community Western and the University of Washington. Terry and his soul mate, Debra Lewis, met while working at the Emporium in 1979. They married on August 8, 1981 in Eugene, OR. Terry worked at Klopfensteins before joining Weyerhaeuser in Springfield in 1984. While at Weyerhaeuser he served on the safety committee for many years and was chosen for the Containerboard Design Team which started in 1993. Weyerhaeuser was sold to International Paper Co in 2008 and Terry retired in 2013.Terry was easy to talk to and get to know. Everyone thought he was the "nicest guy". Family was so important to Terry. He was truly devoted to his wife and 2 children and he supported his extended family (siblings, nieces & nephews) any way he could. Terry enjoyed collecting glass fishing floats from the Pacific Rim and was an avid Duck fan. He teased that even though he attended the U of W, he was a true Duck. Terry loved to travel, whether it be to the coast, Sunriver, Hawaii, Alaska or to many locations in Europe. In June, he & Debra completed a "Grand Tour of Europe" ~ truly a trip of a lifetime. Terry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debra, his son Byron and daughter Sara, both of Eugene and 3 siblings: Rob of Oakville, WA, Brian of Tumwater, WA and Laurie Dennis of Silver Creek, WA. A memorial service will be held on February 21st at Central Lutheran Church, in Eugene, at 1:30 pm. Condolences may be made on line at www.musgroves. com. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary.
