Obituary of Tineke VanderPoel

VANDERPOEL, Tineke – Peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at University Hospital in her 95th year. Predeceased by her best friend of many years, Betty Angeldrup (1997) and by her three (3) younger brothers Cor, Bill and Peter VanderPoel of the Netherlands. Survived by sister-in-law Jetty DeHeer of the Netherlands. Special ‘tante’ (aunt) of Elisabeth and Richard Faber. Dear friend of Margaret and Sam Thompson and Helen Starling. Remembered by many nieces and nephews in the Netherlands, especially by Anne-Maaike and Vivanne Rossieau and Peter Gerben and Sandra VanderPoel, Sanne and Maartje. Special thanks to Ashley of the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital and Cathy and Ross Chapin, and staff, of Inspirit Residences. Heartfelt thanks to all the nursing staff and PSW’s at Inspirit, who made her last weeks at Inspirit as comfortable as possible, often going beyond the call of duty. Cremation and interment at Woodland Cemetery has taken place. A special celebration of Tineke’s life will be arranged at a later date.
