Obituary of E. Irene Shervill

SHERVILL, E. Irene – The family of E. Irene Shervill is sad to announce her passing on Wednesday, November 17th, 2010 in her 93rd year. A loving wife and mother, Rene gave her family and friends the precious gifts of kindness, generosity, loyalty and laughter. She died as she had lived, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own. She was a 35 year volunteer at Victoria Hospital and a long time member of the UCW of Robinson United Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert (Bob) Newton Shervill; children Lynn (Sheila Peters), Paul (Linda), Linda Lee, and Rob (Marlyn); grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Christopher, Jessica and Tammie; and great-granddaughter Shaelene. We all thank you, Rene, for giving us a warm and welcoming place in your heart and home. Many thanks to Dr. Al Mawji and the staff at Marian Villa for their compassionate, expert end-of-life care. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
