Obituary of Evelyn Kirk

KIRK, Evelyn - Of London and formerly of Toronto passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 27th, 2010 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of Norman for 62 years and dear mother of Dr. James Kirk (Rose) of Ingersoll and Lynn Kirk of London. Loving grandmother of Sean (Julie), Marla (Richard), Brendan and Jacob. Step-grandmother of Ted Glass, Mary Roy, Raymond Roy and Mallory Patlan. Great-grandmother of Bryanna, Makayla, Taya, Sarah, Jadyn and Ryan. Evelyn (Pilkington) was born in Lancashire, England just after World War One ended in November 1918 and emigrated to Toronto in the early 1920's. She was the beloved only child of the late John and Lena Pilkington. Evelyn and Norm met at Canada Packers (Maple Leaf Foods) in Toronto where she was a payroll officer and he a safety engineer. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, November 6th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
