Obituary of Barbara Miller
Barbara A. Miller passed away on March 3, 2015. Barbara originally from Coatesville, PA, was born on February 17, 1951 to Joseph C. Ferri and Louella E. (Cole) Ferri in Coatesville, PA.She graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School in 1969. During school Barbara modeled hair for her girlfriend that was going through beauty school. After high school Barbara worked at Pepperidge Farm in the bakery department, where she met her husband, Theodore V. Miller, originally from Downingtown, PA. Barbara and Ted traveled together across the states settling in Lander, Wyoming and marrying on June 23, 1973, in Atlantic City, Wyoming. While living in Wyoming Barbara worked at the Wyoming State School/Life Resource Center caring for kids with severe developmental disabilities, many with significant behavior problems, until 1974 when they moved to Eugene, Oregon. There they lived and raised their family for years. During Barbara’s time in Eugene, she was a stay at home mom, raising their two children until they started school. Barbara volunteered in the 4J District Schools until she went to work in 1984 as a Food Service Assistant, then a Food Service Coordinator for 28 years, before retiring.Barbara enjoyed crafts, gardening, lunch dates with family & friends, Bunco with the girls, & the Red Hat Society. Barbara loved traveling with her husband Ted in the RV 5th Wheel and her favorite trip to Italy together in 2006.She is survived by her husband of almost 47 years, Theodore V. Miller of Eugene, OR, son Daniel W. Miller (wife Suyapa), Santa Rosa, CA, two grandchildren, Jasmin and Colby. Daughter, Rebecca L Miller of Springfield, OR, grandchild, McKenzie, mother, Louella E Ferri of Coatesville, PA, half brother, Joseph C Ferri of Parrish, FL, Aunts Dolores Przychodzien, Phyllis Short of Coatesville, PA, Hazel Riffle of Sutton, WV, sister-in-law, Jacqueline La Croix (husband Lou) of Winter Haven, FL.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015, 3:00 PM, at West Lawn Memorial Chapel, 225 S Danebo Ave, Eugene, OR. 97402.
