Obituary of Barbara Houghton

HOUGHTON, F. Barbara, (nee REID) in her 91st year, peacefully in her suite at the Riverside Retirement Residence, London, Ontario on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010. Wife of and predeceased by her husband, Col. James M. Houghton, O.B.E., C.D. Mother of Col. Michael J.R. Houghton (Ret. C.A.F.) of Kingston, Ontario and Inspector Allan T. Houghton (Ret. R.C.M.P.) of London, Ontario, Grandchildren Laurie Skantzos of Kitchener, Ontario, Terri Lynn Kochany and Tracy Lee Houghton, of Calgary, Alberta, Louise Ann Tennant of London, Ontario and Garry Houghton, of Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as special grandchild, Clayton Pearson of Montreal, Quebec. Also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. At the family’s request, no formal visitation or memorial service is planned. If desired, donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
