Obituary of Dick Rodiger

Dick Rodiger, 87, passed away March 12. He was born July 20, 1927 in Chicago, IL.During his high school years he moved to Eugene with his parents when they became professors at the University of Oregon. After graduating Eugene High School in 1945, he played baseball (catcher) for the University of Oregon Ducks and graduated with his B.S in 1950.He married the love of his life Grace Jungck in1950. They settled in Eugene where he worked for Interstate Tractor Company and then Pape Bros. Caterpillar for his working career.He enjoyed playing golf with family and friends, baseball, and doing things with his family.Dick is survived by his wife, Grace, and daughters Ann Rodiger of New York, Judy Whitney (Jon) of Eugene, grandson Ted Whitney and great granddaughter Andriana of Camus, WA, and beloved nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life will be Monday March 16, 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, Eugene, 23rd and Harris.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
