Obituary of Patricia E. Driscoll
Patricia Evelyn Driscoll (née Holms), ‘Pat’, 92, of Eugene passed away on March 13, 2015 of natural causes.Pat was born in Baker City, Oregon on July 25, 1922, daughter of Helen Grant Holms and Dick Holms. She graduated from Saint Francis High School and attended Marylhurst College.Pat was married to Con Driscoll on August 24, 1943 at Fort Lewis Chapel. Pat and Con had 7 children and enjoyed their 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Pat was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and active in charitable organizations. Known for her warmth and sense of fun, she loved to travel, was an avid gardener, enjoyed her golf game and was a competitive bridge player. She also enjoyed music and regularly attended concerts of all genres at the Hult Center. Pat was a devoted Oregon Duck fan regularly attending football games at Autzen Stadium with Con for 30 years. While living in Myrtle Point in the 50's, she was politically active as a member of the Housewives for Highway '42.Pat is survived by her children John Driscoll (Janet Bailey) of North Plains, OR, Beckie Moran (Mike) of Madras, OR, Libbie Driscoll (Amitav Rath) of Ottawa, Canada, Mary Hawes (George) of Madras, OR, Connie Driscoll of Walnut Creek, CA, Dennis Driscoll (Judy) of Gresham, OR and Patty Driscoll (Richard Lemon) of Eugene, OR, and a very extensive extended family and friends who loved her dearly.Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Con in November 2003.A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, March 27, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eugene. Recitation of the rosary will be held at the church at 11:00 am before the funeral Mass.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Oregon Chapter, to St. Peter Catholic Church, or Cascade Health Solutions Hospice.
