Obituary of Eldon Ellis
Eldon Earl Ellis (Tom) age 82 of Eugene, Oregon passed away on March 18, 2015 of COPD. He was born on May 29, 1932 in Beaverton, Oregon to Delbert & Laura (Chinn) Ellis.He attended school in both Beaverton and Mollala Oregon. He was in the US Navy and worked as a Machinist and Tool Grinder and owned his own business, Contour Grinding in Eugene.Tom and Janice were married for 60 years. They had two daughters, Brenda Williamson of Keizer, Oregon and Lori Gordon of Springfield, Oregon, seven grandchildlren and four great-grandchildren. Also, three brothers, Ray of Mollala, OR, Roy of Madras, OR and Larry of Boring, OR., two sisters, Ruth Lane of Wasco, OR and Kathy Ellis of Vancouver, WA.He was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Larson of Brainerd, MN and Bonnie Carothers of Eugene, OR and a sister JoAnn Frazer of Arbita Springs, LA.Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing & nature. He was a member of the Eugene Sand Bugs and spent many holidays driving his buggy on the Oregon Dunes.Tom had a heart for all animals and enjoyed time with his 2 cats and feeding all of his birds and squirrel friends. Tom loved making things in his wood shop and fixing things and was known as ‘Mr. Fix It’. He spent many hours playing with & giving encouragement to his daughters, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.Tom loved and supported his Oregon Ducks and regularly attended their games with his family and friends.There will be a Memorial Service on April 2, 2015 at 1:00 PM at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.
