Obituary of Maxwell Charles Humphrey

HUMPHREY, Maxwell Charles - Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5th, 2010 at the Village of Glendale Crossing in his 90th year. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 16, 1921. Maxwell was employed at D.H. Howden Wholesale Hardware Co. for 25 years where he was Vice President. A WWII Veteran who served overseas for over three years, and a sergeant in airplane mechanics. Maxwell was married on October 18, 1947 to Caroline 'Caye' Lonero. Survived by his loving wife Caroline 'Caye', children Robert and Pat Humphrey, Terri Jean and Bill Morrow and John and Nadine Humphrey. Remembered by sisters Lois Thomas, Mary Lou Kuches, Gladys and Bob Toporowsky and many nieces and nephews. Dear grandfather of Gina and Gord Hurst, Robbie Humphrey, Lisa Young, Abra Humphrey, Torin Humphrey and great-grandfather of Amelia, Ella and Kieran. Predeceased by his parents and two brothers. Funeral service will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday, October 10th, 2010 at 12:00 noon with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation to follow. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Maxwell are asked to consider the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Society.
