On Tuesday May 22, 2012 at his residence in Silver Spring, Maryland. LCDR Wesley A. Brown, USN, ret. Formerly of Washington, DC and first African-American graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Class of 1949. He is survived by his beloved wife Crystal M. Brown, four children, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Inurnment is pending a future date at the columbarium of the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery Columbarium.
