GIBB, Kenneth Munro - After a determined 26 years of enduring heart disease, Ken, one week from his 80th birthday, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at University Hospital. Ken leaves behind his loving wife and selfless caregiver of 57 years Betty Lou (Teahen). Beloved father of Joanne Gibb of London, and Colleen (Joseph) Monaco of Burlington. Special grandfather to Madeline and Brittany Monaco. Dear brother of Lynda (Albert) VanDamme of Wallaceburg and the late Gene (Jean) Gibb of Chatham. Brother-in-law to Jack (Doris) Teahen, Joan (Leo) Clement, and the late Doris (Boyd) Reader. Uncle to Nicole, Chad, Danny, Darrin, Beth, Erin, Jane, Jerome, Cathy, Michelle, Carol and Ron. Ken will be missed by many good neighbours and friends. Ken was a lovely man with a great sense of humour, an avid reader who loved his television, food, and his feathered friends. A special thanks to the caring medical team in the Family Medicine Palliative Unit at UH, especially the angel who was with him the eve of his passing. A private family service to remember Ken has taken place. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation is greatly acknowledged by the family.
