Obituary of Mavis Edwards

EDWARDS, Mavis - Peacefully, passed from this life on Monday, August 23, 2010. Loving mother of Ruth Ann (Ray) Thompson. Dear grandmother of Kate (Rob) Stewart. Survived by brother Harry Howarth (Sheffield, England) and brother-in-law Lloyd Palmer (Largo, Florida). She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Robert Edwards, sister Nellie Palmer and tiny great-granddaughter Claire Stewart. Other family members remembered are Julie and Steve Timewell, Christopher and Rebecca, Susan Rumble, Greg Stanton and Shannon and Madison. All her life, right up until the end, she was a devoted and active member of the Salvation Army. She has now moved on to her next journey and new beginning. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the general surgery team at Victoria Hospital. So many comforted and cared for Mavis and we are grateful. A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army, 555 Springbank Drive, London, on Thursday, August 26th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
