Obituary of Rose Terameau

Mrs. Rose Terameau age 94, departed this life at home in Rockville, Maryland, on Friday April 13, 2012 from natural causes. Born, Rose Marie Festa Salomon August 30, 1917, in Port- Salut Haiti, to Estimon Salomon and Lesimon Pierre she was one of five children which consisted of two brothers Claymon and Reynaud and two sisters Sylvia and Emen. Rose moved to Washington DC at the age of 38 on June 7, 1957. She worked as a housekeeper until retiring in the early 1990's. In 1996, Rose's health started to fail which led to her being placed in a group home setting. In 1999 she was moved to a wonderful group home run by Ms. Ann Mackey. Rose enjoyed going to the Support Center which operated an adult daycare program in Rockville, Maryland. While there, she participated in arts and crafts, sing alongs and her favorite, bingo! She loved the prizes. She also enjoyed weekly visits from her sons and grandsons. She would always welcome you with a song and big smile. Survivors include two sons Lionel Chery and Marc Terameau, three grandsons Gergory Chery, Jimmy Chery and Wesley Chery and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband LeJeune Terameau and daughter in-law Chery. Funeral services will be held on April 28, 2012 ten o'clock AM at Turning Point Church located at 13200 Arctic Avenue in Rockville, Maryland. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland.
