Obituary of Rebecca Lorusso

A heart of gold stopped beating as Rebecca Lorusso, of London, in her 91st year was peacefully surrounded by her family at Victoria Hospital on Sunday, August 4th, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Nicola Lorusso. Cherished mother of Lorenzo, Anthony (Mary), Sal (Liz), Joe and Marianna (Kevin). Dear sister of Maria Lorusso, Giovanni (Caterina) DeVito, Concetta Iemme, Bettina Dedato, Assunta (Domenico) Gullo and sister-in-law of Elisabetta Lorusso and Giuseppe Lorusso. Also loved by her grandchildren: Nick (Jodi), Nick (Marta), Rebecca (Roland), Jenna, Daniel, Elizabeth, Nicholas; her great-grandchildren, and by her many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the very kind and caring staff at the Dearness Home, 5th Floor (Birch Walk) and to the Cardiac and Palliative Care staff at Victoria Hospital. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., with prayers at 3:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MARY’S CHURCH, 345 Lyle Street, London on Thursday, August 8th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Rebecca are asked to please consider the St. Mary’s Church Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
