Obituary of Fred Chidley
CHIDLEY, Fred – Passed away peacefully in his home, following a lengthy illness, on Friday, July 16th, 2010, surrounded by the love and support of his family. Survived by his wife Milly, son Tom and his partner Sue (Cann), and son John. Grandpa loved his two grandchildren Taylor and Riley with all his heart and they will miss him. Also survived by his nieces Helma Mitchell and Janet (Mitchell) Rodrigues. Following graduation from University, Fred worked as a fish biologist with the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests in the Kenora District in Northern Ontario. He returned to London to run a florist business before entering into the teaching profession where he taught Physics and Mathematics at Medway High School in Arva for 32 years. The family is grateful to the St. Elizabeth Health Care and to the CCAC for years of extraordinary loving care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Jeff Crittenden of Metropolitan United Church officiating, assisted by the Rev.
