Obituary of Marguerite Joan Root

Peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, February 1st, 2013, Marguerite Joan Root, of Delaware, in her 87th year. Born June 27th, 1926, and cherished wife of the late Arthur James Fredrick Root (1994). Loved mother of Richard Root (Jeanette), of Strathroy, and Kim Jackson (Barry), of Delaware. Dear grandmother of Doug, Todd and Scott (Laura), and Kris (Katherine) Root, and Aaron, Nicole and Laura Jackson, and great grandmother of 8 … and 1 on the way. Predeceased by 4 sisters and by 3 brothers. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews, and by her close friends. Marguerite was a long-time member of the Eastern Star, Orpha Chapter (London #187). Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the funeral service being conducted in the chapel on Tuesday, February 5th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Teresa Corrigan officiating. The family extend their thanks to Christine Hobbs and the VON/ParaMed Palliative Team.
