Obituary of Manuel H. Meneses

Manuel passed away on Sunday, December 23rd, 2012, with strength and courage after a prolonged illness. Manuel was an exceptional chef-de-cuisine, banker at the Banco de la Republica, and a talented story teller. He was, to use his words, "the happiest man". A lifelong arm-chair philosopher and early adopter of the Internet age, Manuel found his inner peace through the beauty of learning something new every day. Beloved husband of Gloria R. Meneses; devoted father to Manuel (Tiiu), Al (Sandy), Gloria (Paul Midgley ), J. Carlos (Laurie) and Margarita (Paul Ibbott); and proud grandfather of 13 beautiful grandchildren. Dear brother to Elvira Meneses Dias and Ines Meneses Spataro. He will be deeply missed by his family and his wide circle of friends far and near. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated December 26th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to London Health Sciences Foundation – Cardiac Care or to the Children’s Health Foundation.
