Obituary of William Harry Roe Plewes

Born on March 9, 1914, died peacefully at University Hospital on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Plewes (2010). Loving father of Betty Plewes, Nancy Kemble and Joan Plewes. Dear father-in-law of Brian Roadhouse and Robert Kemble. Predeceased by his brothers Jack and Edward Plewes. Also loved by his grandchildren Chris and James Kemble and five great-grandchildren. Proud veteran of WWII where he served as a flight instructor and fighter pilot with the RCAF Squadron 441. He was a long time member and Senator at Sunningdale Golf Club. The family would like to thank the staff at McCormick Home, especially those on Maple Grove for their care and compassion in looking after our parents and Veterans Affairs Canada for their generous support through the years. The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Harry are asked to consider the McCormick Home or a charity of your choice.
