Marilyn was my step-mother for 50 years. My Dad met the love of his life, and they enjoyed a 32 year marriage of happiness. I will miss her wit, wisdom and stories of the past. She was a great conversationalist and could talk on the phone for hours, especially with her dear sister-in-law, Ruth Leach. My step-mom loved all animals, especially dogs, having many through the years. My condolences go to her Pekingese, Missy who will miss her "Mum" dearly. Missy will come to live with us in Michigan. My husband, Grant and I were able to help Marilyn in the past year as her illness progressed. She was able to stay in her home with Missy along with her nephew, Stewart White's help and homecare nurses. My condolences especially go to Stewart, who lost his own Mother at a young age, and had a closer relationship with Marilyn. She always told me how much she appreciated the "fried egg, toast and coffee" he prepared for her every morning.
