Obituary of Arthur James Goddard

Peacefully with his family by his side at Victoria Hospital, on Saturday, November 24th, 2012, Arthur James Goddard, of London, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Hanna. Loving father of Jim (Sandy) Goddard, Peter (Helen) Goddard, Regina (Brian) Kirk, Kurt G. Paulekat, Christina Hartel and Peter Paulekat. Proud Opa of Penelope, Jason (Lisa), James, Ted and Tabitha and great grandfather of Taylor. Will be fondly remembered by his nieces Lyn (Frank), Laura (Dave), Shelly (Ron) and Marilyn (Richard) and their families and extended family in England and Germany. Predeceased by his granddaughter Debbie, brothers Bob and Geoff and nephew Robert. Art had a passion for music and entertaining: playing piano, organ, accordion and the “spoons” at venues such as Michael’s on the Thames, Swinging Seniors and several long term care facilities. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Dulay and the wonderful nursing staff at Victoria Hospital, 6th Floor – Sub Acute Care Unit. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 1st, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
