Obituary of Umberto Longo

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012 in his 86thyear. Dearly loved husband of Maria. Devoted father of Carmen & Peter Kaspersma, Pat & Tom Wolfe, Janet & Brian Laan and Luigi Longo. Proud Nonno of Mark, Janis & Jamie, Beth & Steve, Adam & Cindy, Stephanie & Jason, Brandon & Jordan, and Chantelle & Robbie; and great-grandfather of Isabella, Katie, Nathan, Maddyx, Hudsyn and James. Loved brother of Pasqualina (d.) & Giovanni (d.), Tommaso (d.) & Maria Annunziata (d.) Longo, and Vittorio (d.) & Teresa Longo. Dear brother-in-law of Antonio (d.) & Stella Pepe, Nicolino & Michelina Circelli, Luigi & Natalina Pepe, Antonio (d.) & Carmela Gallo, Franceso Pepe, and Angelo & Angelina Pepe. Umberto will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Prayers will be conducted in the chapel Friday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family wish to extend a special thank you to Dr. Dunkerley and his staff for their excellent care.
