Obituary of Bernice McHardy

Peacefully at Kensington Village Retirement Residence on Thursday, September 6, 2012, Bernice McHardy (nee Atkinson) of London in her 92nd year went to be with her Lord. Predeceased by her beloved husband James McHardy (2003). Loving mother of David McHardy, Bonnie and John Gill, Carolyn Fredeen, and Philip and Deanie McHardy and mother-in-law of Linda. Much loved grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Dear sister-in-law of Marjorie Atkinson and Harrold Clayson. Predeceased by brothers Paul, Jack Atkinson and sister Mona Clayson. Bernice will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched. Her musical talents were enjoyed by many. Her witness for the Lord and her prayers for many were an example for all. Our thanks to the staff at Kensington and Dr. Dan Leger for their ongoing compassion and care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 14th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation – Rehabilitation Program and The Gideons.
