Obituary of Alyce Lloyd
She married Verneil Faulhaber in June 1943, and together they had four children Dwight, Duane, Linda, and Dennis. Verneil passed away Sept 1971. She subsequently married Richard Lloyd in Eugene in July 1981, who preceded her in death December 1995.Alyce was recognized as the 1994 Women of the Year by the West Lane Distinguished Service Awards Committee. She was recognized as a very willing volunteer for community projects with the commitment of always helping people. While receiving this honor she was described as sensible, practical, and conservative, but always open to new ideas. A very giving person, true friend to many and rock solid in her beliefs where personal and community integrity were concerned. She was a devout Christian throughout her entire life. As an early supported in the growth of Veneta she served on the Veneta City Council for eleven years and as member on the council she served on the Planning Commission, Property Management Board, and the Forest Management Committee. She was a Charter member of the Fern Ridge Kiwanis Club and served as the President and Vice President of that organization. She was very active in the Kiwanis Club by serving on many committees. For nearly two decades and well past retirement age she operated a janitorial service in the Veneta area serving businesses, banks, and city buildings.Alyce is survived by her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren, Felicia and Matt Mason (Taryn and Jada), Alison and Justin Zeulner (Addison and Emmett), Amy Roberts and Eric Nielson (Sydney), Darren and Meghan Faulhaber (Nevan and Owen), Clark and Jamie Faulhaber and Max and Ivan Faulhaber.The family wants to thank and acknowledge Daniel and his the staff at Grace Manner for the loving and dedicated care provided our mother. During her health battles. A private memorial has taken place at the West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. A public service will take place June 27 at 11;00 At the Fern Ridge Christian Church on Warthen Road in Elmira, Oregon.
